streamWriter help

After streamWriter is installed and the window is visible you can record streams. In this example, I explain how to record streams using shoutcast.com. You can do it like this with any other stream.

  • step 1:
    Go to shoutcast.com.
There should be some radio stations, as seen in the following screenshot.
  • step 2:
If you have not used shoutcast.com before, click on the yellow surrounded "TUNE IN" link next to a station. In the window that opens, select the second option "I want to listen using my own media player (Winamp, Windows Media, iTunes, etc)". If shoutcast.com was used before, make sure that this option is active. You can check it by using the link in the upper-right on the page ("Change Default Player Settings").
  • step 3:
Now a station can be added for recording to streamWriter by dragging the "TUNE IN" link next to a station into the window, recording should start immediately. Another way to start recording is to copy the link (right-click the "TUNE IN" link and copy it to clipboard) which can be pasted into the streamWriter address bar. You can start recording by clicking the button next to the address bar.

I hope this was somehow understandable. If not, just ask your question in the forum.
